ORIGIN STORY

​Lou & Phil's origin story goes back to their freshman year of 1996 on a crisp September morning in London, Ontario. They met through a mutual friend while indulging in smokey contraband outside of a lecture hall somewhere on the campus of UWO. From there, they both discovered similar interests ranging from gridiron football, stand-up comedy, Toronto Maple Leafs hockey and Blue Jays baseball, Hip-Hop, the Grateful Dead & Truth Seeking. It gets quite hazy from that point, but Phil remembers running into Lou at a party where they shared a couple of libations and discovered chemistry riffing on current events and such. The labyrinth of this story takes many twists and turns, but soon saw the two launching a morning campus radio show on Radio Western (94.7FM). The program lasted one performance since Lou was suspended from the station for some very outspoken and controversial takes. Many, many moons later, they crossed paths again on the West coast of Canada and rekindled their acquaintance. At that part of the journey, Lou helped Phil out of multiple predicaments and a stronger friendship was formed in East Vancouver. After talks of a sports podcast intensified, they finally launched a baseball pod called: 60 Feet 6 Inches. The episodes were heavy in Toronto Blue Jays content and it was regarded as some good early work by most accounts. The show then morphed into a general sports format and was rebranded as: Drew Storen's Eyes. Somewhere along the way, the hosts both lost enthusiasm for talking about "sports", and wanted to delve into the realm of current events, life hacks and various conspiracy theories. After the mysterious pandemic of 2020 saw several of these conspiracies come to light, the boys knew it was time.
